Real Neat Blog Award

Hey guys, Mariah over at Bizarre Brunette nominated me and a few others for this award last week and I felt it about time I got around to doing my answers and keeping the ball rolling with some new nominees! I’m super grateful for the nomination! For those who don’t know, Mariah covers a lot of nerdy stuff on her blog including Board games, Harry Potter and much more! I’m a big fan!

 

Right, onto the answers! I’ve been given these questions:

Q: If you could have dinner with anyone (dead or alive) who would it be?

A: Honestly, Elon Musk. This man is a bit of a role model for me. He has so much knowhow and money but still continues to invest it all into the betterment of humanity and the environment. Plenty of other billionares out there so to keep doing good for everyone is inspirational for me. I wonder if he’ll treat us both to Lobster? 

Q: What’s your favorite podcast you’re listening to right now?

A: I don’t actually listen to many podcasts, I’m a bit of a Magic: the Gathering fan, though with a special fondness for the commander/EDH format. So I do tune in to The Command Zone Podcast every now and then or catch up on YouTube when I miss it.  Maybe someone could recommend some podcasts for me?

Q: What’s your favorite part about being a geek?

A: Ooo, gotta be when you find fellow geeklings that you have a bunch of stuff in common with and you can talk like you’ve been friends for years. I love the interactivity of it, bringing people together for any kind of nerdism is always good.

Q: What’s the latest game you’ve gotten into?

A: Some of my readers will be pleased to know I’m back into Fallout 4 right now, with a bit of Monster Hunter: World going on in the background to make ready for Iceborne when it drops in September! I cannot wait!

Q: What’s your biggest pet peeve?

A: At the moment, nothing much hugely bothers me. So I’ll go with something standard like flies buzzing all round my face, especially when I’m trying to eat outdoors, like at a BBQ for example. Buzz OFF!

Q: What’s a series you hate, but everyone else loves?

A: Game of Thrones. It’s overrated. It’s not bad, don’t get me wrong, but people always hype it up and I’ve just never really been into it. Also, Love Island. Sod that reality TV nonsense, I wanna fight some Rathalos!

Q: What’s your favorite hobby? (besides looking at a screen)

A: Me and my friend, Alex have recently taken up Shooting at a local firing range. (might do a write up on this soon if the range is happy for me to write about them.) It’s been a lot of fun and we’re lowkey improving our shooting skills for the inevitability of the zombie apocalypse.
